What a blast! What musician wouldn’t feel lucky to be surrounded by so much great talent all willing to give a helping hand and lend their talents to their musical projects? While touring with Bill Medley, we recently landed an extended engagement at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand in Branson, Missouri, sharing the bill with Paul Revere and The Raiders. As most musicians do, we began working on one of our many side music projects. What started out as an island-flavored coffee commercial soon blossomed into a full CD of Christmas songs. And now thanks to the generosity of Bill Medley, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Eddie Stovall of The Platters, McKenna Medley, and Bob Gulley, we now have a new soundtrack to enjoy during the holiday season. This mostly Seattle-bred band created a blend of island-inspired arrangements without forgetting their rock, pop and blues background, giving the musicians an opportunity to shine under a different musical light. We are also thrilled that our own original song “Under One Roof” (written by Tim Lee, Mark Carter, and Melanie Carter) made for such an appropriate title track.

My personal thanks to my sister Suzanne (talented artist and owner of Sweet Island Eats Chocolate Co.) for asking, “When are you going to do a Christmas album?” (Better late than never.)
