Carl was born in Havana, Cuba and was raised in New York and Miami. His professional career began at age 17 as the drummer for "Dave & The Wanderers". Eventually leaving his drumsticks behind, Carl stepped out front as the lead singer in "Kracker", who toured Europe with The Rolling Stones. As the lead singer in the Miami based disco group "Foxy", Carl wrote and performed the smash hit "Get Off" which became a platinum single and gold album. "Foxy" was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best New Group of The Year.
It is said that Carl has the look of a Latin lover and the elegance of an English gentleman. Soon he'll be celebrating his 22nd anniversary as lead singer and newest member of The Raiders.
