Comments: Saw you perform at Santa Cruz Boardwalk on Aug.24, you were fabulous. When you played "Kicks" it took me back so fast to the sixties, listening to you made it seem not so very long ago. The first few cords sent chills through me. I ended up playing it over and over for about three days!. Please come back next summer (or sooner). thanks for bringing back the memories!*

Comments: Just went to Riverfest 2001 on Saturday and you guys stole the show. And what a show it was. Being 47 I grew up listening to the Raiders. I think sometimes you forget just how much the music meant to you until you see/hear it again. You guys sound great and look great. Looking forward to seeing you again and good luck with the Rolling Thunder run this year. If you head to Maryland, DC or Virginia sure would like to know.

Comments: Paul and the Raiders, We attended your concert at the Westmoreland County Fair on August 21, 2001. You and your Raiders did more for our Chapter of Rolling ThunderÆ by honoring us, and it will never be forgotten. You are such a good friend to the Veterans, and we really appreciate it. I hope to see you at the Rolling ThunderÆ National Convention in September. Maybe someday we can hook-up and ride with you, other than in D.C. I linked your Web site on ours(www.rollingthunderpa5.com) so other people can see what a great asset you are to the Veteran community. Keep up the good work and may God bless you all.

Comments: My wife and I just got back from Riverfest 2001 at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. What a great show! You guys sound fanastic! What you are doing for the Vets is commendable - and with your promotion during the show, I heard that all the CD's were sold out. But the greatest thing was that all of you signed autographs and posed for pictures until everyone who waited in line was done - well over an hour by my watch. And all of this after taking the "red eye" from CA. The music world needs a few more bands, and guys, like you. Keep Rockin'!

Comments: Saw your performance last night at the Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk. You were all FANTASTIC! When I was in high school had to rush home to be sure I was home by 4 to watch you each day on Where The Action Is. Last night stood in line for 45 minutes and did not get up to the tables. Each time the woman selling the CDs came past me in line I mentioned that I really wanted to get your autograph on the 45 record of Hungry that I had brought. After you stopped signing autographs and had gone backstage she graciously took the 45 back to you to sign. Thank you for signing it. My daughter and her friend from Croatia came to the concert and loved you all. Tea's(the friend) comment was-they are "SUPER". My daughter was familiar with several of your songs. Thoroughly enjoyed your great sense of humor. You are all wonderful showmen and put on a great performance. Was so enjoyable to see such talent. You are all to be commended for your work for the Viet Nam Veterans. A cousin of mine died in Viet Nam in 1965 at the age of 23. We were quite impressed with your generous and remarkable dedication to helping the Viet Nam Veterans.Thank you, Margaret Kristich

Comments: Saw you at the Boardwalk last night and you were GREAT!!! I went for old time's sake - you were the first group I ever saw play, back in the 60's in Oakland (CA), when you were the headliner (at least as far as I was concerned), playing with a couple of newcomers named Sonny and Cher (wearing furry vests and huge bell bottoms). Back then, I had a crush on Mark Lindsay, and I came not expecting much as I figured you (Paul) would be the only remaining member of the group I had seen back then. Boy was I surprised. Your show was fantastic, and your "new" members are fabulous (along with you, of course). Carlos has an amazing voice - I could listen to him for hours, what range - all your musicians were great (we've heard a lot of tuneless riffs from other groups - yours were all superb), your versions of all the old songs were wonderful (I'm running out of superlatives), you (Paul) were funny and entertaining, and I got to hear the definitive "Louie, Louie" live (yours will always be the best - I remember back in the day, some other group had the popular East Coast version, but yours was "it" here in the West). To top it off, you have a great CAUSE. What more could you ask for. I only wish I could have heard more (and seen better). What a show. WOW!

We are from Seattle and Patty has seen you more since she is a little older than me, but I won't tell you how much! We saw you in Tacoma in 93 and again at the Puyallup Fair in about 95. How great it was to see you all again! We hope to make your concert in Topeka, KS in November. We would drive several hundred miles to see you and the Raiders! Patty used to listen to you play at the Spanish Castle in Federal Way. We moved to Kansas about five years ago and are in hopes to get back home to Seattle sometime in the next year. You and the guys, are what makes the Pacific NW such a great place for rock and roll. I wanted to thank you as well for all of the hard work that you are doing concerning the Vietnam Veteran's. We listened to the WALL CD after we got home and man what some music. God bless to all and many many more good years to you all!!!

Comments: The Raiders have always been my favorite band and I think they were better than the Beatles. They played several dances in Port Angeles in the "60s before they became famous. I have one of the posters for one of those dances. I watched every episode of "Where the Action Is".I have a 23 year old son who does not like most of my music but when I played my Raider CDs, he was impressed. He even said he will go to a concert with me. This will happen in September at the Pullayup Fair. He like the way that the Raiders used their instruments and that every song lead with different instruments. He likes many of the "riffs". This is a kid who like Marilyn Manson, Tool and so on. Keep on rocking.

Comments: Paul, Caught your show at Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing, MN Saturday night and was totally blown away. I was so impressed with your talents and the quality of the band. I didn't realize just how great you guys are. You are true entertainers and The Best Oldies Act I've seen, and I've seen most of them. I'm 50 years old, and grew up listening to Paul Revere & The Raiders and have been a fan ever since. I'm ashamed to say however, that this was the first time I had ever seen you perform. My wife Nancy and I were with another couple, and we just had a wonderful evening. As you can see, I live in St. Cloud, MN home of Bobby Vee and know his sons Robby and Tommy. I noticed you are going to be in Mahnomen, MN on September 14th at Shooting Star Casino, I along with my wife will definitely make the trip to see you again. I wish to Thank You for a wonderful performance and your desire to keep entertaining as you do. I look forward to seeing you in September and hope I can get an autograph and say hi!! Thanks Again!!! You have no idea what it takes for me to cough up $20.00 for a CD, But I have Ride to the wall now. There is no greater cause than the one you are promoting. I am not a veteran, but I know much of what people my age have now is due to their sacrafice. Thanks for a great concert and cause.

The show was great, the band fantastic, and the humor and true showmanship that Paul puts out can't be beat. We use to go to the Shake Rattle & Roll in Eau Claire Wis. and my wife and I fell in love with you guys. When ever you guys are in the area we make it a point on going to see your show. We have managed to go to at least 5 maybe 6 of your shows now and we loved everyone of them. I can remember watching you many years ago in the early 60's. After all these years you guys are still the best. We met up with a couple at Treasure Island Casino and these people had never gone to a concert before and I told them you guys were always great and by the time you were done with the concert this couple were in awe. These people were so impressed that they said that they would love to see you guys perform again. Thanks again for the great music and entertainment.

I would make-believe that I was you and my brother Kevin would be Mark Lindsay (He realy looked like Mark). What ever happened to FANG? I had forgotten that you originated Louie Louie. With the the cars and the tunes it was a delightful escape from the now boring, back to the times when every weekend was a new adventure unplanned waiting to happen. The Raiders were entertaining and not a bit disappointing. The cruise sounds like it would be great fun.

Comments: I was about nine when songs like "Kicks" and "Hungry" were topping the charts. OF COURSE I watched "Where the Action Is" when I got home from school. That show and being fans of PR&tR were among the very few things my 2yrs elder sister had in common. I remember buying a copy of a magazine I thing was called "Teen Beat" and cutting out the pictures of PR&tR and taping them to the inside lid of my desk at school. The main reason I wanted to leave a note here is to let you know I think what you're doing with RIDE TO THE WALL AND HAVE BEEN DOING FOR VIET NAM VETERANS IS VERY SPECIAL! I didn't sign the Ride to the Wall guest book because I literally did not feel worthy. Yes, I remember Viet Nam. It didn't affect me as much as it could have. I remember my brother who was 10yrs my elder trying very hard not to cry when he heard of a friend of his dying over there. Normally I would have teased my brother for a tear for all the teasing and calling "Cry Baby" he did to me. But I knew that was no time for teasing. A couple of months later a bigger shock hit our family. My brother had gone to enlist. Hell, we didn't know what to expect. Country Joe and the Fish just had a song on the airwaves with slap to reality lines such as "Be the first ones on your block to have your boy come home in a box." I didn't know when he walked out our door if I would ever see my brother again. As a 9-year-old, I didn't know they wouldn't just take him right off to the war. When he came home later that evening I was elated. I asked what happened. He said he had to wait. A few days later a letter came for him. He read it soberly and went to our room and closed the door. I didn't know what the letter said or who it was from, but I knew I shouldn't go in my room with him and that he needed to be alone. When my parents came home I heard the phrase "4F" for the first time. Characters meaning my brother wasn't fit enough to go to Viet Nam. He was sad, but, man-o-man, was I happy. About 20 years later I lost my brother to another war we seem to be losing ... cancer. I know Viet Nam and its' veterans are no laughing matter, but I still wanted to share this joke with you. Q: How many Viet Nam Vets does it take to change a lightbulb? A: You don't know, man! You weren't there!

Comments: I saw the Raiders in Michigan at the Oldies Palooza. It was cold and we got at least five rain downpours on us and even a few hailstones but I would gladly go through it all again because this band was so awesome. I only saw you part of the time because the umbrellas kept going up and blocking my view but I can't blame the crowd for that. Paul was so funny and the band guys were so good, what I did see was enough to convince me that this was one of the best moments of my life. I'm also a veteran but wasn't in combat or vietnamn like my husband was. I was so touched by his efforts to remember those guys that were treated badly by the American people. They should have been out there ripping the politicians a new butthole for sending the guys over there in the first place. I don't like draft dodging but I feel that the guys that did skip out on that mess had a good reason and I wish that everyone could have done that instead of losing their lives. You have my deepest respect and admiration and if you ever decide to run for president, I'll vote for you and I don't care if you give your band guys all cushy jobs in the cabinet as long as you keep putting on a few concerts. A lot of people were getting up and leaving the elvis impersonator (kareoke Leo as my husband and I refer to him) to go and stand in line for your autographs. My husband got one of your t-shirts but would also like to get one of your CD's later so you will not slap him as a commie. Seriously though, he really liked the song you sang on it. Well I'm done babbling so I'll let you go. But thank you so much for coming to Michigan, I had a great time because of your band. Sincerely, Beverly Franklin

What a tremendous show by a group of very talented musicians. I've marked my calendar to catch you again in Ohio this June. I'm not a Vet but I'm in the age group of those who served in Viet Nam and the show really hit an emotional home. Thanks for the music and thanks for the giving.
